We were assigned our group of four by Mrs B and using Mind map we brainstormed how we can make a difference. The girls want to cook but the boys want to do stuff like mow lawns for money to give to poor people. Mrs B asked us "What is a poor person? A person with no money, no home, no food or a person who is sick and alone or all of these?"
We thought about the kids at Innisfail who lost their toys and school books in the cyclone and the kids at Grantham who lost almost everything in the flood and the kids in Japan who had an eathquake and a tsunami which changed their lives forever.
Hayley suggested we use scribble maps to see where all these places are located from our town.
